Spartia beach is located just below the village of the same name in in the
Livatho region on the island, it is also close to the island's airport.
The capital also being only a few miles away, so a good base for exploring
the rest of Kefalonia.
The beach is quite small with the backdrop of white limestone cliffs that
reach high to the sky. To reach the small sandy cove section you will have
to clamber over a few small rocky outcrops, nothing much. Spartia is a
pretty little beach with its clear aquamarine water and soft white sand.
There are yachts just off the coast here, as there is sailing center based
here.
This beach is probably idea for a stop off and swim rather than a days
visit as there are no facilities except for a taverna near the beach.
There are no sun beds or sunshades to hire.
A south facing bay means that it is sheltered from the north west winds.
Conditions here are ideal for sailing and wind-surfing. |
