There have been about eight this week I believe, no real damage just cracked walls and a slight movement of effects.

    Gotta be wind  ;D ;D

Makes you glad that all houses on Kef since 1953 are built to withstand force 10 earthquakes. :)

Well on that sobering thought John, I would still prefer to live there with the threat of earthquakes than live here with nutters with guns ect... :) :)
Mother nature made me if you get my drift..I'd rather she took me out than a terrorist or someone speeding on a motorway.

You might be right about the big one building John and on the other hand maybe not, well I think that's what this article says published in the Greek press today.
As the other half said elsewhere doesn't matter, still prefer to take the chance and live in an earthquake belt... [smiley=011.gif] [smiley=011.gif] [smiley=011.gif] [smiley=011.gif]

The largest quake I have witnessed was the 6.4 in August 2003 - exactly fifty years since the big one.

When I was in Skala last year I thought that there were several strange natural things going on - lack of fish close in to the shore - very quiet goats - lack of cicadas chirping away. I forecast then that there would be a biggie coming along.

I hope I'm wrong, but these natural phenomena do usually occur to a timescale.

All these earthquakes must be after shocks from when John G dropped his wallet in the Mythos taverna last year!!!!!!!!!!! [smiley=027.gif] [smiley=027.gif]

I've just had another look at that site and seen that there has been another 3 quakes in the Ionian sea today. :/
The first at 0843 measuring 2.8; the second and biggest 14km south east of Zante at 0854 at 5.2 and the last (for now!) at 1214 coming in at 3.8

It's still very active out there, i see there has been another 4 out there between 2350 last night and 0900 this morning! The biggest measured 4.2 and the others between 3.0 and 3.8. All in the same area off Zante
