The only times i have been to Lefkas was on a 2 hour stopover on the 3 island cruise. We stopped off in Nidri and it has stunning views across to Skorpios and Meganissi with the mainland as a great backdrop. Lovely beaches and a bustling town.
I can't comment on the rest of the island but the reports i have read look really good.

    Thanks All Â*

Like most of you when we were in Kefalonia in 2003 we did the 3 island boat trip where we stopped off in Nidri for a couple of hours so really didnt get to see much. Â*We are going there on July 1st for 2 weeks and staying in Nidri so who knows may get to do a boat trip to Kefalonia for the day. Â* We are planning to go to Kef end of next May so have something to really look forward to. Â*

Nidri is a good place to stay, it's got a main road running through it which was quite busy when we stayed there but I believe they have built a relief road around Nidri now.

As you will know there are plenty of Tavernas along the Harbour front. Hire a car and get yourself down to Porto Katsiki Lefkas's version of Myrtos Beach. Other places of interest to visit include Lefkas Town, Vassilliki and as I said in my earlier post Sivota Bay.

You can also catch a ferry across to Meganissi which runs every 30 minutes or so I think.

The views from the Harbour front are stunning and it is very much due to Nidri that we fell in love with Greece.

    Enjoy your holiday.

    Regards

    Al

    Thanks for your replies guys

Al have you got any recommendations for favourite taverna. Yes I have heard that they have built a relief road and apparantly it is behind our apartments. Hoping for a seaview room as where we are staying is right on the Harbour Front and as you say the views look stunning.
