Just popped on to see where the taverna was that Jed recomended. Â*It is very hot here, having a great time, sorry to hear you are having bad weather in England Â*;D

How's Nidri and How's the view from your room at the Yiannis, did you get a sea view room??

It was 44c when we were there so we can sympathise with the heat, the eclipse happened when we were there and the temperature went down to 32c for about half an hour!!!

Give us a full report when you get back!!

Had a great time time in Nidri, will give a full report when I have caught up on my sleep, didnt get home until 3.30 am this morning.
We did get a sea view room and the view was stunning. I have been bitten to death by mozzies, has anyone any recommendations how to treat them, driving me mad :'( :'( :'(

welcome back,so glad you had a good time. Looking forward to hearing all about it & seeing photos.
Witch doctor gel is good Jan can get it out of Superdrugs also Tea Tree oil relieves them too.Poor thing.
I bought mozzie stuff out of airport this year & was brilliant Jan same make as P"20 sun lotion its called Riemann Mosquit-ex overnight forula. Brilliant stuff the only time I got bit was when I forgot to put it on lol & its odourless & lasts for 11 hours.

Thanks Shaz, will definately try some of the Riemanns when I go away again in 5 weeks. Â*I used everything I usually do but just didnt seem to work this year. Â*I suppose it was my own fault, the first night when we got there (we had late flight) it was that hot I just lay on top of the bed and did they have a meal out of me ...lol. Â*The rest of the holiday I went to bed with the sheet covering me right over my head. Â*The owner recommended we sprayed this mosquito killer in the room every night when we went out which did seem to work, but they got me the last night again, but he did say there was a big problem with them this year. Â*One thing I did learn was that it is only the female mozzies that do bite you Â*:

Sorry Saffy I have only just read this. Â*Thanks for your comments on my piccies of Lefkas also on another post I had not read Â*:-[ Â*We went to to Lefkas the first two weeks of July and we stayed in Nidri where we found the people very friendly. Â*We stayed in the Yiannis Apartments which are situated at the far end of the Harbour front in Nidri. The harbour is lovely especially at night when it is all lit up and you look across the bay at the little church. Â* We had fantastic views across the bay looking out at the small Islands (Meganissi and Scorpios). Â* Â*Nidri is the main resort for you to go if you like nightlife, however when we were there it wasn't as lively as I expect it would be during the main holiday weeks so it was just how we like it. Â*Lots of lovely tavernas to choose from, I don't think we had a bad meal all the time we were there and lots of shops if you like shopping while on holiday (which I personally don't). Â*The beach in Nidri isn't very good so if you like sunbathing on the beach you would have to hire a car/jeep or a boat for the day which we did and we discovered some amazing ones on the west coast. Â*Lefkas is a beautiful Island and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there.
