A little thing as pop up ???

I have just seen a little green thing has pop up on the right hand side under where the amount of post you have posted and the date you joined and when you hover over it says you are on a distinguished road. What is this all about Martin

You have got sharp eyes - you should have been a detective

I had noticed the little green square against everybody's posts, just above links to MSN etc, but I had never hovered the mouse pointer over it before. Are you getting a pop-up all the time or just when you hover?

Anyone reading this will probably think we have been hitting the ouzo

*you are on a distinguished road* is probably just the default term on the vBulletin software?
I was reminded of an expression my grandma used to use. She always referred to my granddad's brother as a *gentleman of the road* - which was a polite way of saying he was a tramp. So better to say we are all on a distinguished road.

Just trialling something, there are ways to get more green spots! without additional Ouzo but i will leave that for you with the sharp eyes to work out, the distinguished road is indeed a default setting
Keep playing, clue hunt out the stars................and start using ratings then some will move on from the distinguished road to hopefully better things, some may get worse

So it's all about quantity not quality?

Absolutely not
The algorithim is far more complex and is based on human opinions of posts albeit with some marginal input from post count

Whoops! Help me someone! I figured how to use the reputation approve/disapprove feature on here so thought I was real smart and added a couple of comments and just realised that I didn't check the "I approve of this comment" box - so apologies to anyone who gets a "I disapprove" it was a mistake as I'm sure my comments will show. If there is anyway this can be changed could someone please do it and I promise to be more careful in future!
