The beach and the sea
The beach and the sea
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

;Lol ! Well the beach is flat!!
Lourdas/Lourdata is built in a linear fashion on a hill, with the road winding down from Vlahachta at the top, to the beach at the bottom.
There are two other flat bits, one is a third of the way down, with tavernas such as La Mer, Casa de Blue, Spiros, Garbis jewellery shop, a couple of mini-markets and some car hire shops. Then a bit more hill (this is going down) Muses Bar, a bit more hill, then the centre of the village proper, where there is a huge plane tree, shading a traditional kafenion (tea room) and Libra Grill/Bar. This part is pretty flat also. The spring water well is here, where the villagers used to do the washing, you can still see it from the kafenion.
Have a good wander, either early, before it gets too hot, or later on. Stopping off, of course, for liquid refreshments! Cathy.![]()
