    Default Kouzina Taverna Trapezaki

Kouzina Taverna ia situated on the road down to Trapezaki. It is run by Stelios and his wife Dyonisia(Denise). The food is freshly prepared every day by their superb cook Dimitra whose Pastitsio and Mousaka and Kefalonia Meat Pie are to die for.
You will always get a warm welcome and they do not forget a face even if you only went in to eat once the year before.
Every Friday is Greek night with traditional dancing and a trio of snger and musicians who are really good.
Koiuzina is the ideal place to sit and eat and chill out in the relaxed surroundings.
They are open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Couln't agree more Bell. We were welcomed like long lost family although we only went in a couple of time last year. The owners are really friendly & the food is superb.

I've said somewhere else on the board when I was still Michelle, that this place is really lovely and the friendliness of the owner is second to none in my experience. As I said elsewhere, my little boy calls this 'the Restaraunt with the friendliest man on the island' which is testament enough especially coming from an 8 year old, kids are only usually bothered about what they can eat and drink and don't pay much attention to much else. He was a bit put out by the cat at first as he is not keen on animals, but soon got used to him/her.

As Kouzina is nestled on side of the road on the hill from Trapezaki Beach up to Mousata and the 'main' road it doesn't have such spectacular sea views as some places, but does have Ainos as it's backdrop and it's kind of leafy setting is very tranquil and relaxed and the whole place is really well laid out, very clean and just an appealing place to visit when on that part of the island. One of my favourites.

Kouzina opened last night with a new chef. The food was excellent and Stelios and Dyionossia were their usual welcoming selves. Had a great meal.

is this taverna in easy walking distance from the Lara hotel.
which i am led to believe is half way down the hill to the beach.
sorry to be so vague, but we have never been to lourdas before.
we can't seem to find a map on the forum of the layout of the village
so we have no idea where all the places are from the Lara.
is there a map anywhere? thanks.

It is walkable Nick, but would take a little while. You would go up the hill from the Lara, keep going, passing Muses Bar (great in there!) passing Spiros taverna, go left at these crossroads, and Kouzina is down that road on the Right.
I can recommend Dionysos Taverna, which you will pass on your right going up the hill towards Muses. Triffilli opposite the Lara is also good.
Aridas Palace (last taverna on the left on the beach, as far as you can go) is one of our favourites too.

It is a very long walk from the Lara. It is actually in the next resort of Trapezaki and you would have to walkup to the bridge, cross the bridge, walk up to the crossroads by Spros turn left and then walk through to Trapezaki, keep going across the bridge to the crossroads turn right and then walk up the hill and it is on the left. Would take a good 45 mins.
