    Default Niforos Studios and Taverna

Highly recommend this place on the hillside on the approach to Petani Beach. Overlooks the beach, fabulous sunset views. Food really gorgeous and very cheap - we sat there for hours drinking (soft drinks only cos of driving) and eating authentic Greek food for 25 euros!

Chap sits on the terrace playing his guitar and harmonica and singing Greek songs - beautiful. What a treat, watching the glorious sunset, surrounded by friendly locals, chatting to the owners - they do everything themselves (man, wife and teenage son). Limited menu off season but fabulous home made food.

Studios are gorgeous, immaculately kept. Gardens are immaculate and well designed, lovely pool with jacuzzi, plenty of sun beds, very romantic place - ideal for a honeymoon or special occasion with just a short drive down to that glorious beach my favourite so far.

Studios are 50 euros a night in June/September rising in high season, but were told that it is very, very quiet off peak they only had two couples there when we were there. Would be OK for kids with the nice pool in secure grounds but couldnt help thinking that kids would spoil the ambience of the place. Sorry - I have two of my own who are well behaved, but just felt like the kind of place where lovers should be without having to think of anything but each other. My opinion only of course! If you dont stop over its still worth a visit for a lovely dinner and a front row seat for the spectacular sunset - only 20 mins drive back to Lixouri either to stay there or to catch ferry over to Argostoli.

Got some photos remaining on first camera card will post some later. For anyone interested so far though contact G Damoulianos on:

    Oh I don't know Dux, :

Met a few over the years who obviuously talked through their ass so I don't see why a talented musician would have a problem ;D ;D ;D ;D

My goodness you lot are so picky! It's actually put me off posting reviews already but I really wanted to post this one. Do you know what? I actually thought to myself when I read it that someone would pick that up, but decided to leave it hoping that readers would know that when he played the harmonica he didnt sing and when he sang he didnt play the harmonica. > I give up!

    Ducky,

You're showing your age - or lack of it!

In the sixties there were plenty of musicians who stood whilst playing the guitar, sang and played the harmonica - Bob Dylan, Donovan, Jonie Mitchell, Rolf Harris (well not sure about Rolf).

I'm sure Phil and Cwm Diddy will add a few more.

Talking of musicians, I've got four backstage VIP AAA passes for the Diana concert. Anyone want them?

I'm sure Elton would prefer an "Eton rifle" backstage
