If anyone is staying in the Lixouri area between 13th and 27th July and hiring a car, I am offering my services as a guide to the island(subject to a glass or two of Mythos!). I will be based at the Cephalonia Palace Hotel and will be more than happy to share my love of the island.

Hi, We are around in September and staying in Lixouri, Been to Kef once before and stayed in Lassi. We are staying at theBudget! Palatino Hotel, do you know of any hotspots in Lixouri worth checking out?. AS we will be guide less around this time! Cheers

• Evening boat to Argostoli looks really different travelling when its dark across the bay
• Lepeda Beach (just around the corner from your hotel)
• Xi Beach although it is becoming a very commercialised area
• Vatsa bay and Spiagghia taverna for some great White bait
• Petani beach
• Ammos beach-Leave the water at stages on the steps for the return journey!
• Head north for Odysseous country around Atheras
