scala 1988

We are off to Kef on the 15th,we first went in 1992 and remember it as a very sleepy place,we went on the recomendation from my parents who first went in 1988 ,i remember the airport as nothing more than a runway ,a bit of fencing and the odd bit off tin for a roof.HOW times have changed,does any one else remember it as it was in the attached photos ?.On scala beach i think that only the Tara beach complex was there and no tarmac road to Poros as we found out when we hired push bikes and cycled there.ps very saddle sore ouch!

Great kefalonia pictures. See the air conditioning was better at the airport then!
Only taken 23 years to assure EasyJet it is worth landing there, that is if you are willing to fly from London.

The photos are fantastic, how lovely to see the place pre mass tourism. Just a thought, your parents could have been the first British tourists to end up in the pokey for taking pics of Greek airports!

I remember it in 1994 when I first went, there was a little tin hut at the end of the runway and we had to wait nearly three quaters of an hour for baggage.
Your down and out with-in twenty minutes now. Great pic's, which reminds me, I'll have to dig my old one's out. I have a video somewhere of that hut, when we were taking-off and flashing along the runway, halceyn days indeed.
