    Default Kefalonia Flights

    Kefalonia flight only for 2012
Trade operator Avro has further expanded its Greek programme for next summer. The flight-only operator has added flights from Bristol to Corfu, Zante and Crete and there are also new flights from Newcastle to Corfu and Zante. In addition the company has launched flights from Birmingham to Chania in Crete (first in the UK market), Kefalonia, Rhodes and Preveza for the May to October 2012 season. Meanwhile services from Gatwick and Manchester to Volos will be reintroduced for 2012, as well as the Skiathos route. “We are pleased to be able to expand our Greek programme in response to demand from our key retail partners wanting to book with a reliable operator offering full ATOL bonding as well as the most competitive prices in the market place,” said Michael Vinales, managing director of Avro. “We will continue to monitor sales to all destinations and respond with additional capacity should there be demand”.
I wonder if this will actually happen this time

Have heard that easyjet are definately flying to Kef next year. A consortium of local business men has or are going to pay the amount that easyjet are asking in fees. There will be 2 flights per week low season and 3 flights per week high season.

Me neither. Have used Easyjet many times over the years and never had any problems.

Anyone who can cope with 3˝ hours on a Thos Cook or Thomson flight should have no problems with Easyjet

It's not the actual flight that gets my goat, it's the way your treated at the airport. Little hitlers; take this off, take that off, you can't take them because they are open! Wife had just opened a pack of ciggs, conficated them, said you can buy more in the shop thru the search! Now we have the 20 kg luggage pp, and god help you if it's over and if you complain your threatened with missing your flight. Went to Spain couple of x-mases ago (Ryanair) 15 kg baggage no prob's, coming back it cost me 125 euro for being over? Same stuff that I took out? Then when I went to the shop in the departure lounge, I got some pick 'n' mix, every time she weighed it it was a different weight, mixed bag of sweets she wanted first 3 euro, then 7 euro, then 5 then 9??? In the end I said KEEP THEM! No wonder I got charged for over weight. Scales on the fiddle.

    Agreed Phil.
We flew withTCX for the first time this June. We've never had so little room. Admittedly we normally book extra leg room seats, as Pete is 6'2" but we got a last minute deal, so couldn't book ELR.
I'm only 5'4" and I didn't have enough legroom. In addition, the seat-back in front was almost on our noses.
The lady in the third seat wanted to get out to use the loo and we really struggled to stand up and let her pass; and I mean REALLY struggle. She could hardly get up and out!
From a safety/evacuation point of view, it was scary. I don't want to fly with them again unless there's absolutely no choice.
Have flown Easyjet and Ryanair and had loads more space, even in standard seats.
Set the controls for the heart of the sun.

Most of the problems you mentioned seem to have been related to airport authority matters rather then to specific airlines. You should have complained to the airport authority if you think you had a valid complaint.
