Beaches on Lassi, Kefalonia?

We (couple (54 and 47yrs) from the Netherlands) are staying in Lassi from 31-08 till 13-09 on holliday and we do not have a drivers license. We have bin told that travel on scooters is not advisable. Is there around Lassi a nice person with car who can drive us to beatiful places and beaches on Kafelonia on accasionally (4 or 5 days only). We will pay for the days we use offcourse. Or are there cheap taxi's to get there? It is our first time on this island. We went earlyer years on Corfu, Chios and Lesbos.

Lassi has some lovely beaches.Taxis may be very expensive but you will be able to walk into Argostoli get the ferry over to Lixouri.
Also you could do a boat trip from Argostoli Glass Bottom boat do a fully day out with a barbecue.
There are coach trips you could do island tour book in Panem office or CBR.

Who told you not to use scooters / moped? There is no problem but, you need to wear a helmet now. Moped is an ideal way to travel around the island, especially now when it is quiet. In Lassi there are many superb beaches a very good one is the Yialos Platis. Also take time to visit the lighthouse and the little bars along the way. Enjoy your stay and I hope you go back, the wife and I have been going the last 19 years.

Right! That is what we (sadley) encounter every time. And still no solution! Maybe we hire a small boat to find a beach that is not used, nearby Lassi. We like to swim/sunbathing nude, but will not bothering other people.

Sorry, miss understood (no licence) OK. What I have done is sent my friend Petros the policeman, a message asking if he knows anyone who can be your driver for a small fee for a few days. He will get back to me or you can see him yourself,when you arrive. He works behind the bar at the Il Gabbiano in Lassi. As I said before enjoy and don't fret these things have a habit of working out, you never know I may be there myself at that time, and I would gladly show you around.

Hi Groningen, I have just received a message from Petros, his son, who has just finished National Service, is there for you to use as a driver. He sais to go see him at the Il Gabbiano when you arrive, he is there every afternoon at 4.30. You can make your deal with him and he will take you where ever you want.
See, I told you not to fret. Petros say's it is in the 30's at the moment, so don't pack too much.

PS; I spent 16 weeks in Geleen while working on the Volvo plant at Born and when it rains it is just like the UK, miserable.
