    Lightbulb Olive Garden Apartments

    Hi!
I'm going to the Olive Garden apartments on the 12th July with my girlfriend. I've been reading the reviews and they seem mixed but all the negatives are for trivial reasons so fingers crossed. Anybody here got any experience in them?

Also just looking to get ideas for what to do whilst on holiday?
We have a car for 3 days, we were thinking Fiskardo/Scala/ Myrtos/ Assos/ but if anybody else has some better ideas? We're going for 7 days.
    Thanks!
    Tom

Also, we're planning on getting a taxi from the airport to the apartments when we land. Is it best to prebook? I've seen a lot of people getting ripped off. If anybody has a number that'd be great!

Hi Tom, We went to the olive gardens last year and had a great time if you would like to see some photos here is a link to about 88 odd photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/richwal...7625306598336/
hope this helps. You can also have a look around the gallery on here to see the rest of the island too get a few ideas of where to go. Some of the other members will add more info soon. Olive gardens is on top of the hill between lassi and argostoli, the hill is steep but if you go to the gym it will be a walk in the park lol it's not a straight up or down it's a winding lane.

you will be able to walk in to Argostoli scenic route along Fanari road takes a while if you stop on route.or over the main road takes about 20mins.
plenty to see in Argostoli Turtles normally in harbour by fishing boats in a morning.
Kastro castle , Robola wine factory and St, Gerasimos nice day out.
Reccommend Kastro Taverna after walk around Castle Spiros or Ross will bring you free a jug of ice water while you sit and take in the view. Try the home made cakes.

when you are at the olive gardens turn left so you are going up the hill when you reach the road on the other side you will argostoli in front of you turn right and follow that road which will take you though a few villages until you come to the bottom of the castle area. turn left for a few yards then a right follow the road up to the top park where you can at the top. when you reach the top the taverna is on your left and the castle is further on up .

You can pick up all types of kef maps which i have many sorts , the one which I like is blue with a map of kef on one side and a photo of melissani lake on the back which is called airplane editions. you can pick theses up from any super markets.

the first is a home made chicken pie you have to wait a little bit longer for the meals but so what when you are a beautiful island with great views.

The next 2 are the taverna the next is the road that you walk upto the castle that alone is a picture to see.
the last is the first view of the castle you will see when you turn right on to the lakithra road.

Rich Sue is talking about the Kastro not Palatino's which is in your photos. The Kastro is on the right just before you get to the entrance of the castle.
