A useful Map and Google Earth image of Svoronata Area.

Thought these may come in slightly useful for anyone staying in the Area.
A basic but clear map and a Google earth translation of some of the map with approximate locations of Tavernas etc.. Sorry it is not as detailed as I would like, but it will give you an idea of the layout of the area.

Great idea, seeing that made me wonder if Elana's accommodation is still there it was on the main road on the right hand side as you head towards aghios helios? tavrna that did a wicked chips with oregano.

There is a Greekstones car rental across from the Astra too, which is not shown on the map. Wish I knew Elana's accommodation. I think I will have an enjoyable few weeks making a note of places and taking photographs for Panoramio.
I find that it is important to eat in as many places as possible. Only for research purposes you understand.

Great idea, nie to be able to see the approximate locations of the apartments tavernas etc when looking to book a holiday. When you go for food you must eat at Esperides which is between the mini mart and the Avithos resort.

Here's one a bit further north, notice bottom left the airport junction. The village cafe, I wrote about on another post, nice food and a lovely chocolate fudge cake. Excellent views across the Ionian and looks down on the airport. Nico's apartments are quite reasonable, clean and very friendly.

Well done everyone. Google Earth is a great tool and the images of Kef are more up to date than those of the UK. I always use it before going anywhere on holiday.
With the combined wisdom on here we should be able to give members, old and new, plenty of good information. And reviews are always very welcome.

Hi Everyone,
There is a bus stop at the bottom of the map opposite Irina Hotel with buses to Argostoli. I was wondering if anyone knows the aproximate times for this service. I could not find any detatils of this route on Kef bus timetables.
