Hi folks,
I have just joined this forum, after quite a while trying, my wife and I have been bringing the "kids" here since 1995, the first time we stayed in Lassi we loved it.
We now stay in Anna's (The Byron) in Argostoli. see www.billrollinson.co.uk and travel all over. Through the years we have made many friends and aquantences on the island, non more so than Anna and Petros. Petros used to be a policeman but retired in 2005, he was best man at our wedding on the island along with Anna (maid of honour). I hope you have as much enjoyment from the island as we have over the years, and don't depair over the rising cost of airfares, do as we done the first time they tried it, WE DROVE! Alice here, we met last year at Il Gabbiano's bar. I didn't know that Petros was your best man! That was a big surprise, are you out there this year?
We are in Lassi from the 7th August this year, and can't wait as usual to see all our friends and get a bit of proper sun!
Has anyone been to Lassi this year? Is there anything new or changed?

Hi Alice,
Nice to hear from you, yes we hope to be over there around the 16th of Aug, though nothing finalised yet. Had murder last year with the reps at the airport over my seat, got sorted in the end. We are thinking of driving over this year, just waiting on some things to fall into place. The way airlines treat people, it cost me the same to drive as go by plane and we have 3 weeks for the price of 2. I see Petros has grown another goatee, ! Hope we meet in Lassi again. Can somebody give us the exchange rate on the island at the moment?
