    Default Stefanos Studios in Svronata

Anyone got any info on these studios please?

I know that they are close to the airport, but that noise isn't too much of a problem.

Any further info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Stefanos Studios are just off the Svoronata to Lassi road, immediately after the Airport turning.

The 8 Studios are in the block partly obscured by the tall tress in the foreground of the picture.

Although marketed by UK Travel Agents as Svoronata, the address is really Sarlata.

Stefanos and his brother George live in the 2 houses on the airport side of the Studios. Despite the close proximity to the airport, noise was not an issue for us, as there ar no night flights. Fixtures and fitting were as would be expected for Greek self-catering accomodation.

There's a nice pool and a they serve food on the premises. Their home made pizzas are very popular and they offer a free delivery service to the surrounding area. Just to confuse, this part of their business is called Moulinos. We noticed at the beginning of our second week that the sign on the main road for Stefanos Studios had been taken down. When we asked Stefanos why, he said it was to avoid the taxman and then laughed. Make what you will of that.

The meals on site were tasty, but the menu is quite restricted. The nearest place is the Taverna along the road to lassi, near the Minnies turning, butwe were turned away from there as they said they only had enough food for residents. Next nearest is Ikarus at the airport entrance.we didn't particularly want to drive at night so that we could partake of the fermented extracts of grapes and and other such beverages. we walked to Paradise at Ammes one evening and also to Dum Spiros in Svoronata, but the walks back were decidedly hairy with passing cars and coaches.

We had a car for the full fortnight and I think you really do need one if you stay here.

Stefanos is not with any of the major Tour Operators, but is kept busy by a number of smaller ones. It's difficult for him to keep a check on which bookings come from which Agents, with the result that 3 times this year he has been overbooked. It happened during our stay and he moved a lady who was booked for a month into a room in his own house for 3 nights.

We always stay in Svoronata, and the Planes never bothered us.

Hi we have stayed in Svoronata each time we go to Kef. For food you must go to Esperides restaurant at least once, fantastic food. Its set in a orange grove and seated outside. All the locals eat there so get there early. If you need to hire a car Greekstones are further down the same road as the local shop, who seems to be always open and do quite a range of UK products as well as the usual greek produce. Beach wise you can walk to Avithos which is great and safe for kids. You can also walk to Al Helis beach which is lovely but you have to walk down some steps to reach beach., parking not great there but is a lovely beach. and for touring Svoranata is great to get to everywhere with ease. As for planes you dont know they are there, Tuesday is busiest airport day but even so unless you are on Ammes beach you just see them fly over in the distance. You may need a torch at night as not all areas are lit but other then that its a lovely place.
