I have been watching the flight prices for about two months. They have varied day to day by up to £130.00 each!

One site Directlineholidays has had flights for £160.00 each for two weeks, when you try and book them they shoot up to £340.00 each! ouch!! That's plus the baggage. I rang them to complain that the advertised price was not attainable and was give some guff about flight prices chaging by the hour. B*****k's - it's just sharp practise.

Like Cwm ddu said I was holding my bottle until Wednesday when the Thomson flight from Manchester dropped off the radar, presumably fully booked, so I had to jump onto the BMI quickly. It cost me just over a grand for the four of us, but I got a great deal on the accomodation - which we love so much.

The total for our two weeks is just about £1700 - still nearly a grand cheaper than a package to the same place.

Those are good prices Jed, especially for August. You can now relax and look forward to the holiday

I have never flown with BMI. Are those afternoon/evening flights from Manchester.

Back to blighty again this week, managed to get a cheapy flight into Bristol but was struggling to find one back from there or Cardiff, eventually a return flight (two weeks) from Cardiff came up at 148 quid! Not bad for the last week of July/first week in August if you can take the risk of waiting till the last minute!
