Hi can anyone help me ? Im getting married next june in skala iv been told the agrapidos taverna in poros would be good for a wedding reception have anyboby got any pictures or any detail many thanks.
I can't really offer any more detail than was in my origional post. Unfortunately, the Agrapidos is the one place in Poros that i do not have any photos of either. The last time i was in Agrapidos, the place definately looked in need of decoration and the access to the taverna was a little confusing............you felt you were walking into someones garden. There were no signs or directions.
However, the hospitality was as good as ever, and the views spectacular.
One other place i would reccommend you consider is the Sunset Taverna. It is a few yards along from the Agrapidos and as well as having a spacious indoor seated area, there is a huge outdoor area for dining and entertaining. Something which Agrapidos unfortunately does not have. I have attatched a couple of photos taken from the Sunset Taverna.
Thanks John, now I know where the Agrapidos is. I have passed it a few times on the way to the Sunset, but not taken a lot of notice as it didn't look open (or very inviting) . I agree with John, the Sunset is brilliant - wonderful views, great food and a friendly welcome. I have a few pics of the view from the Sunset, but John's photos give a good idea of the view (All my photos from the Sunset seem to include a bottle of mythos in the foreground) and a ferry in the middle).

We got married in Skala last year. Hopefully you will be using the wonderful services of Donna from Kefalonia Weddings as we did..... Anyway, we had our reception at Aquarius and I have to say they were absolutley fantastic. We did not plan to go there for the reception and certainly didn't tell them in advance, as we didn't want anything formal. Infact we told them we were getting married a few days before the ceremony and asked whether they would be able to cater for the reception, which was about 10 of us. We didn't expect anything special, but how we were amazed. When we arrived after the ceremony, they had decorated a table for us, arranged a cake, there were balloons, sparklers, flowers, well everything you could ask for really and more. Everyone was able to choose their meals from the usual menu, so there was no ordering in advance. They even asked at our hotel where we were staying to get our names so they could decorate the cake. There was plenty of house wine on tap and the service was fantastic from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. They really made a fuss of us... There were 10 of us and the total cost was 120 euros. An absolute bargain..... We could not thank them enough to be honest and the whole thing was a million times better than any reception we could have spent months planning in the UK.....
In our opinion we got married in the most beautiful place in the world and were treated like royalty. We love Kefalonia and it will always have a special place in our hearts and its a good excuse for a return every year for the anniversary!!!!!!!
