On a Zakynthos beach
More than 50 wildfires have broken out across Greece, fanned by high winds.
The largest was a brush fire on the western island of Zakynthos, which ignited early on Sunday evening and was raging unchecked.
The fire trapped some 70 beach-goers, both Greek and foreign, who were evacuated by boats.
The area is a breeding ground for the endangered loggerhead sea turtle.
Winds are expected to pick up on Monday, reaching up to 46 mph, leading authorities to warn of a high probability of more fires.
