    Default Chuck a Chicken

OK - Bell and Sue have been recommending this place to me for ages.

This is the best, and cheapest, place to eat in Argostoli. It does a very good takeaway trade (delivered by motorbike), but also has plenty of seating (and clean loos) to enjoy a meal and take in the ambience just 2 blocks back from the ferry terminal.. The meals arrive on brown paper - and the table cloths are also brown paper. The beetroot salad and stuffed burgers are highly recommended by me! - ........... and Bell ....... and Sue .............

To give you an idea of price, we had 2 coffees in one of the cafes in the main square before we had lunch here. Our substantial lunch, including 2 drinks (and a large Amstel on the house) cost less than double the price of the 2 coffees. The couple who run the place are really friendly too.

If all uploads OK there should be a photo of their board .........

Phil, is this the one that was called Docora? Near the childrens playground?
If so, I endorse everything you say. We had a fantastic lunch there on Ionian Unification Day, We loved the brown paper thing and the staff were really friendly.
Bell put us on to it (Thanks Bell!) but it was called Docula, or Docora (meaning paper, or document) then. Maybe they changed the name?
Without this board, and it's members, we'd never get to know about places like this. Cheers!

cato we call it chuck a chicken as its chucked on table not served on plates.
the beetroot salad is to die for and the warm pita breads are really good.
we paid on average less than 10euros each to eat there last year that was including a couple drinks each

Oh, I see! Sorry, bit slow on the uptake there!
I'd rate it 5 out of 5 for everything, it was great. A little hidden gem

If you walk in a north westerly direction from the main square it is behind the children's playground. Or, 2 blocks back from the ferry terminal.

Got to agree 100%, this place is a must do. For anyone who hasn't been you need to try it, what an experience. Fantastic ,thumps up all round. You must also try the beetroot salad, we were literally fighting over it lol
I have some photos of the place so will have a look & post later.
