poseidon apartments, skala

Hi there, we are going to skala in 3 weeks time and after reading resort reviews very excited!! Just wondered if anyone knows of these apartments as I cant find any recent reviews. Also, wheres best place to hire a car in skala. Any info much appreciated thanks x

Hi, i know of these apartments but can't comment on them as i haven't actually stayed in them.
With regard to car hire, i suggest you try either Etam (on the main street oposite Vetos) or Greekstones which are beside the police station. both will give you good service.
with regard to restaurants, i would say my personal favourite is the Galera which once again is beside the police station but there are so many gorgeous restaurants in Skala i would reccommend you simply work your way through them!
I do suggest however, that you venture off the main street. there are some great restaurants and tavernas down the side streets and quite often the food is of a higher quality................and cheaper! Enjoy!

welcome to board never stayed at poseidon but skala loads of great places to eat as john says try down side streets to eat

I would probably say booking online is going to be your best option because you are going out over what is probably the busiest period. Usually i would wait until i get out there and compare prices but as i said, it will probably be VERY busy with car hire in Skala when you get there.
One other suggestion for you. I usually stay down in Poros when i am in Kefalonia. I always hire my cars from Sarah at Mythos travel. If you get some quotes and then send Sarah an e-mail telling her what you are looking for, i think you may well get a good deal from her. Poros is very quiet this year so you may be in luck! here is her e-mail. mrskappa@yahoo.com

hi. just back from skala. hired our car from greekstones. excellent service as always.
for a good meal try the Pantheon near the roman villa entrance. do not be put off by it's isolated position or if it is is empty early on. we went at 7.30pm as we had our grandchild 3 years with us. only customers at that time. about 3/4 full by the time we left. great food and service. very competitive pricing. free wine. give it a go.
