That is early. Do you reckon they advertise holidays so far ahead on the basis that people will return from holiday and immediately book for the next year?

The furthest ahead I ever booked was 5 months .... and that was the last holiday!!

what seems so odd there are loads of holidays for next few weeks and even August this year.
Been looking for next year Would like to try another island but love Kef and love Thassos.
if we go Bank holiday May week its nearly a week later so will be well into June when we come back. noticed price is only £6 more than this year.

But a new boiler priority and weve found a plumber £1500 cheaper than British Gas. just need find money to pay and order it.
No harm in looking at Holidays for next year and still got Kef to go in 8 weeks.

I was talking to a guy in Asda this morning. He says the travel agent couldn't get anything up for Kefalonia next year!
He also said that Santorini had been taken off the Newcastle flight schedule from Newcastle for next year too. I wonder what's happening out there?

    Rich,

I think that lots of people will pass on a holiday this year because of the financial climate, not that they can't afford it (we can't) but because they think ( as they are being told by the news media) that it's going to get worse.

Therefore it must get better next year, and so, they will book for next year, pay a small deposit, and if it all turns to shit, then they only lose the deposit.

If I don't get a holiday this year I'll be dead by Christmas cos I'm working my socks off at the moment and will surely burn out by then. I NEED my two weeks of sun. I've tried to get my consultant to prescribe it, but she's having none of it.

yes Jed I agree 100% with you on that I feel that i'm so lucky that i have a job so close to home so costs of traveling to and from work is nil so 4x4 sits on the drive nearly all week only moves when the wife pops out in the afternoon after she has finshed work as a postie in a small sorting / delivery office, we both love our jobs and don't over spend trying to keep up with the jones or buying the latest top of the range gadget.
We didn't have a holiday abroad well overseas went to wales for a few days long weekends last year as mother who lives with us was very ill life or death type of thing and this year we are training new pup who will be ok to leave with my sister next year when we go to kef. So mother is very well back cooking which is not bad for an 85 year old and dogs can go to my sisters with us knowing that they are trained and will not be a worry so roll on next holiday wise.

The new media has a lot to answer for aswell as the banks they are both shits and you can't be trusted, so for going off on a different tangent.
