    Default Late deals

There seem to be plenty of late deals to Kef at the moment. The trouble is most of them are for just 7 day holidays, but I am sure tour companies might negotiate on the phone for longer stays? Has anyone booked anything recently?

I have seen a few 7 day holidays to Kef for under £200 pp (flights, accom & transfers). It certainly seems worthwhile to have a suitcase permanently packed. There are some really great deals for anyone able to go on Tuesday ...................

    Hi Phil

I am having an absolute nightmare trying to find somewhere for the end of June. I think you're right about the 7 days v the 14, I am going on my own as usual and you would not believe the grief I am having. I have been on about 10 different web sites twice a day for months and at the mo they are charging double the fare so it's going to cost as much for me as for two. I have called Sunvil, Thomas Cook, Olympic, Greece Cancellations, Monster, Greek Options, Ionian Island Holidays and they have all been really quite unhelpful and sometimes even rude. Sunvil even have hols on their web-ste for Pelion and Kef with their (s) for single and when I call them they say no there is nothing.

I have been getting pretty upset as I am due to go at the end of June and the minimum I have found is between 500-600 pound.

I think it's because there is v limited availability. On the plus side I have found some cheap flights, at least aeroplanes don't discriminate.

I've been going to Kef for the last 7 years to see my friends but I still need somewhere to stay, I usually pay about 300 pound, this is just plain madness.

I was going to ask if anyone had any cheapish studios to rent. I've looked on the accommodation and I may go for them.

At least it's good research I think I'll do a feature on the plight of the single traveller v the travel agents

    Hi there

thanks for that, yes I was going to check but I still think it's going to be too much, guess I can see though. The cheapest accommodation I've found so far is 350 euros for 14 nights. I do think this is going to be my best bet though, feeling a little happier

    Hey Sue

thanks for cheering me up, I think out of principle I'd rather book flights and accommodation separately even if it cost the same as a package. The reason I left it so late is cause of work a couple of months back there were some good deals ggrrrrr!! The flights aren't bad though, First Choice had one for £138.00 Bargain

    Hi Shelley

I can certainly agree with Kefallon & Sue. If you do stay with Bell you will have a local board member to look after you rather than a tour rep!

I agree about prices for single travellers. It really is a rip off. Everything seems to be geared up for couples or families.

Good luck. If you can get flights at the right price I am sure you will be able to get accommodation at a reasonable price - there is so much empty accommodation at the moment!
