I think the official line is that they don't like you to import meat. However, I'm sure you'd get away with vacuum packed bacon, which you could bury under a beach towel in your hold luggage. I always notice how absolutely freezing my clothes etc are when I unpack on arrival, so it will be fine from the storage point of view. Don't forget a plastic bottle of ketchup or HP, without which, no bacon buttie is complete!

Set the controls for the heart of the sun.
We always bring bacon and sausages and tetley tea bags. As the first 2 are nigh on impossible to find and if you do they are not the same. Tetley is an arm and a leg over here. I buy my pilgrim's choice cheddar in the deli in Argostoli
If i think of anything else i will post it.
Thanks, i wondered if this swine flu will make a difference with taking bacon.
The butcher in Argostoli near Tsilikos imports a variety of sausages including bog-standard UK sausages and Cumberland sausages. Also does good bacon imported from the UK. He also has frozen Yorkshire puddings (no idea why people would buy these rather than make their own?).
A few of the supermarkets in Katelios and Skala also do decent bacon from the UK though it's quite expensive compared to Argostoli.
Teabags are easy to find (Tetley, PG Tips) but expensive so they may be worth bringing.
About the only thing I miss is cheese - I'd love a nice bit of Cheshire or Wensleydale or Red Leicester.
Plenty of money
As we rarely manage to find enough time in the accommodation to cook and end up eating out every night![]()
