Palatino hotel

Hello Everyone,
I`m another newbie! we visited Kef in 2004 and have been dreaming about going back without the kids for a getaway in Sept. We are staying at the Palatino hotel in the sc studios. Has anybody stayed here or know of it. As it`s in Lixouri it will be nice to see some of this side as we only went over on the ferry for a drink in the square last time.
Also I am worried about the amount of wasps on the Island in Sept, can any one tell me if there are any hotspots,so we can avoid those bits. I don`t fancy spending all day trying to hide from lots of wasps.

We've been a number of times in Sept/Oct and the only place I can recall being really plagued with wasps was at Anti-Samos beach, everywhere else seemed to be relatively wasp free. Let's hope it's wasp free this year as I'm going in September as well! Have a great holiday!

Sami is definately the wasp capital of the island i remember reading somewhere a lot of ecologists live there and prevented the spray treatment which happens in other parts of the island.
