It's been a full on week in the household this week with daughter taking her a level exams, the good news was she managed to get through the snow and ice and the school understood how important it was for the pupils who had worked all over Christmas break to do the exams and not put them off to the Summer. I have also has the pleasure of a 3rd party audit from Lloyds Quality Assurance checking we have processes and procedures to deliver projects. Have to laugh you get all this story around ...
Well that was some first week back at work for 2010 the well laid plans for more "us" time is already a distant memory. The snow has meant much disruption in work leading to extra hours covering people who could not get in and assisting maintenance groups keeping things running that are not really designed to cope with temperatures dipping towards -10. No easier at home with the kids off causing chaos at home while Tonia has been child minding from 05:30 ...
Well we started the year off just after midnight with the usual resolution, better diet, less booze..... and More relaxation time, we recognise we are both quite intense people and sometimes need to let things go a bit The next week should be interesting to see how long we last before reverting to type.......
